Sherri Friesman

Born in London, Ontario, Canada, Sherri Friesman (nee Ingram) started drawing at a young age.  She spent countless hours sketching animals fuelling what has evolved into a life-long affair with art.  This interest was developed further when she took up photography at the age of 15.

Sherri has traveled widely throughout Canada, the US, Europe, Australia, Greenland and Britain.  Her photographs document journeys exploring some of the world's most beautiful and scenic wonders.  She has built a library of images and memories that will provide her with a wide scope of subject matter for years to come.

She studied Fine Art at the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario), and then went on to complete her Bachelor of Education teaching art within the public school system. Sherri's art has evolved through 25 years of experimentation with a variety of mediums.

Years spent working in pencil and ink honed her ability to capture light and subtle details.  Most recently, Sherri has been working with watercolors and acrylics as she continues to document the beauty of the wildlife that surrounds us.

"I'm always trying to capture that moment that makes me stop and appreciate the wonder of the natural world. These moments are precious, and I'm compelled to capture them on paper.  I hope my work speaks to your own memories and experiences with nature."
